This is a quick guide as to what you can expect when buying a headstone from us.
- first you’ll need to decide on the material for the headstone. Granite and limestone are the two most popular stones we supply. Granite is hard wearing and comes in many different colours, it mainly is quarried in China and India. Limestone is Irish (quarried in Kilkenny). Limestone will get dirty overtime but can be cleaned when/if needed.
- If you choose granite the next thing you’ll need to decide is the colour, black is the most popular we sell closely followed by bahama blue.
- The shape of the headstone is the next thing that must be decided.
Once we have decided on the material and shape of the headstone this is the next things to be done
- we’ll take a copy of the deeds to the grave, we will apply to either the city of county council for permission to erect the headstone.
- we’ll give you sample pages to help you with the inscription for the headstone.
- once we get the wording you’d like added to the headstone we will give you three different fonts with three different formats for your loved ones inscrition
- once you have decided on the font option you’d like we’ll get you down to our office to see a final proof against the headstone itself (this is optional, you don’t have to see this final proof)
From this point the headstone should be standing in the cemetery within a fortnight.
